December 5, 2025 Brethren Letter
Dear Brethren,
I’m sure that most everyone has heard the phrase, “…the theory of evolution.” Evolution is just that, a THEORY! Let’s face it, if the beginning of life could be scientifically proven as having evolved from an initial “big bang,” the word “theory” would have ended centuries ago. Evolutionists simply cannot PROVE their belief. Yet, they still teach it as fact.
I was reading a sentence in a callout box found in a Plain Truth article dated February 1983, entitled, Evolutionists and Creationists Are at It Again. The callout box had this sentence:
When children go to school they are usually taught the theory of evolution as the only intelligent answer to existence. Virtually all science teachers speak about it as dogmatically as if they saw evolution happen.
I received instruction in evolutionary theory during both my high school and college education. It was taught as scientific FACT, and yet, NOT ONE SINGLE teacher ever gave any ironclad proof as to why they thought of it as factual. Again, evolution is theory only!
One high school biology teacher stated to his class that he believed God started the universe with a “big bang,” and then let evolution take over from there. In other words, after an initial explosion, God disappeared and was never heard from again. I remember disagreeing (respectfully) with this teacher. He ended the conversation with, “Well, that’s what I believe, and I feel comfortable with that.” But he failed to prove his beliefs!
Another science teacher believed that we supposedly sprang from the same origin as apes (a common evolutionary belief). He added, “Cockroaches are immune to radiation. If this world is destroyed by nuclear warfare, cockroaches will survive, and next time human beings will evolve from the cockroach instead of the ape.” Really?
Well, first, cockroaches are not immune to radiation. As I understand it, they can withstand greater amounts of radiation without the ill effects that humans would have, but they are not immune. Secondly, mankind evolving from cockroaches is just as preposterous as mankind evolving from apes.
The following information was posted on the internet. Here is what the author has posted as taken from a book entitled, Basic Theology.
…While probability is expressed by a fraction, (e.g. one in five million times) and when the fraction is as small as these are for the chance production of a protein molecule, then the mathematician would declare the probability of its happening as zero.
The evolutionist would likely point out that there still exists a chance, however infinitesimal, of evolution happening because of the billions of years involved. However, even billions of years will not increase the probability enough to put it in the range of reasonable probability. [Scientist Dr Bolton Davidheiser] tested the well-known statement that if a million monkeys were permitted to strike the keys of a million typewriters for a million years, they might by chance type a copy of a Shakespearean play.
Setting up a controlled experiment with only capital letters, continuous typing at a uniform rate of speed, and requiring only the first verse of Genesis, he shows that a million monkeys could never type Genesis 1:1, let alone a Shakespearean play in billions of years. Even to type the first line of Hamlet (”Ber. Who’s there?”) would require, on the average of a number of repeated experiments 284 trillion years, a period considerably longer than it took evolution to do all it supposedly did.
I’ll end with some scriptures that get right to the heart of the matter from God’s perspective… “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God … (Psalm 14:1).” “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:” (I Timothy 6:20). Someday there will be no doubt in anyone’s mind about God’s existence! “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).
Please have a wonderful Sabbath!
Your Brother in Christ,
Gary Liebold
