We have all known people in the past that we thought of as being “Spiritual POWERHOUSES.” These people were unwavering in their beliefs. They defended the TRUTH of God, and they were willing to fight (spiritually) until their death. Some were elders, and others, deacons or lay-members. Yet today, some of these same individuals don’t even remotely believe what they once so steadfastly upheld. While we don’t sit in a condemning judgment of anyone, clearly there’s only ONE set of TRUTHS (from God’s perspective), not several different versions. “…because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie” (II Thessalonians 2:10-11).
