August 30, 2019 Brethren Letter
Greetings Brethren,
Tonight, I had the opportunity to talk with a Church member whom I met several years ago. It was good to find that he still has a love for the TRUTH and recognizes Mr. Armstrong’s role as an apostle. Considering our conversation, I decided to re-send a letter (updated), which I wrote in 2010. Please have a good night’s rest everyone.

Greetings Brethren,
A couple of days ago, my wife received a note from a very fine lady which we have known for several years. It was good to hear from her again. We formerly attended another Church of God group together about 9-10 years ago. She and her husband are no longer with that organization. They have not been with that group for some time. We were very pleased to learn that they have remained loyal to Christ and have NEVER surrendered the TRUTH of God. Sadly, many thousands of former Church of God members have let men take their crowns for various reasons, but this couple has neither given up nor given in, spiritually (Revelation 3:12, I Timothy 6:12, Hebrews 3:6).
Most of you would probably not know or recognize the name of these persons even if I told you, but God the Father and Jesus Christ know exactly who they are. They have never been overlooked!
We are shown in Revelation 3:12-13 the following… “Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him
My new name. He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.”
There are still various members out there (only God truly knows who), that have remained loyal, and who have NEVER surrendered the TRUTH. We can read in III John 4, these important words… “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” Those are IMPORTANT words!!!!
Brethren, we must continue to pray for God’s people. So many of them have been brutalized and abused spiritually and emotionally by their former pastors in various COG corporations. As an elder, (along with our deacons and lay-members), we must show them by our fruit that we are different from other groups and that we truly apply GODLY standards and principles in all we do. We don’t just talk about them. WE WILL serve the scattered brethren with true Philadelphian love (John 13:34-35), showing by our actions that we will NEVER SURRENDER (or attempt to alter), GOD’S TRUTH WHAT-SO-EVER!!! This is our DUTY before God!!!
Your Brother in Christ,
