August 9, 2019 Brethren Letter
Dear Brethren,
Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (I Corinthians 1:10)
In recent weeks the number of people contacting Church of God Scattered Faithful, has been rapidly increasing. It’s interesting to note that the top two countries in numbers of people visiting our website, are the United states and the nation of France. I’m very grateful for the “door” God has opened whereby we can now translate my “Brethren letters” into French. Plans also are under way to begin translating my sermons into French as well. One of our Church members is bilingual, (speaking both English and French), and is willing to serve the needs of all French speaking peoples. I sincerely appreciate his desire to serve others.
As many of you know, I’ve also recently received a request from a person who speaks Spanish. He would like to receive our sermons in the Spanish language. Here is part of what this man wrote…
Greetings brothers, we need sermons in Spanish and that we speak the same 1a Corinthians 1:10 … we are from the era of philadelphia we are members of the church.
Thank you
Currently, we do not have the means to translate my sermons into Spanish. However, God can open that door just as quickly as He did with translating my sermons into French. Please pray about this, brethren. The need will likely become greater; maybe very quickly. We must do our part, and be willing to serve God, in ANY MANNER He wants.
A man from Kenya, Africa also contacted me, asking for a printed copy of Mystery of the Ages. We would have to send an existing copy if we were to send something. Even then, we would have to be careful not to send the PCG version of Mystery of the Ages, where changes have been made in the book’s original text.
36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest” (Matthew 9:36-38)
We may not currently have an abundance of “laborers,” but we should always be keeping our focus on Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Here are some of the current plans I have for the Church website (some of which will take place after this year’s Feast of Tabernacles).
-Continue to expand the French language literature
-Begin having my sermons translated into French
-Add Spanish speaking literature
-Have one of my sermons regularly posted on the “Home page” (Both in English and a translated version in French)
-Update the “About Us” page
-Add a short biography giving an overview of who I am (since I’ve had people ask me for that info, suggesting I post it for all to read).
Time is short, brethren. We must walk through any door GOD opens, in FAITH. That’s what He expects of ME and that’s what He expects of all of US, collectively.
Thank you for your prayers!
Sincerely, Your Brother in Christ,
Gary Liebold
