January 15, 2016 Brethren Letter
Dear Brethren,
I have exciting news! Our updated Church website (www.cogsf.org), is now online, and accessible to everyone. Mr. Daniel Hatter has put many long hours into the development of the site, a site with the utmost of excellence and the highest of standards. I’m very pleased! I fully believe God is pleased and believe you will be too!
Though we have kept some parts of the former website, along with Mr. Armstrong’s books and booklets, we now also have posted many of the World Tomorrow programs, recorded sermons and Bible studies of Mr. Armstrong. In the coming weeks we will continue to expand the number of recordings on our site. We plan to increase the number of written materials in the library as well. In addition, some of my recently recorded sermons will be placed on the homepage. This way, scattered brethren (and the general public), may better understand the foundation upon which we stand.
Mr. Armstrong was God’s end-time apostle. God has NOT ordained any other individual into that office. He was the one given the responsibility of preaching the gospel around the world. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). Through the Church of God, Scattered Faithful website, in a sense, Mr. Armstrong will still be the one preaching the gospel through the World Tomorrow programs, and his written works posted on the site. “Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23).
The Church website is not about me! However, brethren, when ordained as an elder, I promised God to serve Him faithfully the rest of my life. All of us together have a responsibility to GIVE to others. These very principles are what we should want to achieve, showing our love for God, and demonstrating our willingness to serve His people always. We do have an opportunity to serve others through the website!
Please have a wonderful Sabbath!
Your Brother in Christ,
Gary Liebold
