July 11, 2025 Brethren Letter

Dear Brethren,

I’m very happy to tell you that the next issue of Lantern magazine (August 2025), will soon be finished and ready for print. It should be completed by the end of next week and then posted on our website. The magazine is intended to serve the FAITHFUL, LOYAL, and SCATTERED brethren of God’s Church around the world, as well as any other interested persons.

As Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong said many times, “The GIVE way is the way of Out-going concern toward others — the way of God’s LAW — the way of LOVE.” (Co-Worker Letter, January 23, 1975). We will GIVE of ourselves to serve others, to feed the spiritual flock (John 21:15-17), and to uphold the teachings of Christ as given by God’s end-time apostle, Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong.

There are various COG’s that claim to teach ALL of what Mr. Armstrong taught, while at the same time they subtly (sometimes not so subtly), change one doctrine after another. Brethren, we must exhibit both by our words AND OUR DEEDS that we’re different from other Churches of God who compromise with God’s TRUTH. That’s not to say we can’t make a mistake. We can! But our hearts must be right in steadfastly upholding the teachings and doctrines of God, and correct any mistake innocently made.

Yes, our magazine started small and has continued to grow since that first issue. I also have just added another person in Africa to our mailing list who is eager to receive the magazine. The magazine is also going out to Britain, France, Canada and various cities here in the United States. I hope to continually expand the magazine as more articles are written. Your prayers would be very much appreciated! We want to serve God with our might, and yield to Him in humility. That’s exactly what God expects! “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might…” (Ecclesias-tes 9:10). “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up” (James 4:10).

The next issue will have thirty-six pages rather than the thirty-two pages the maga-zine has had. Two of the articles in this month’s issue (in relationship to the fall Holy Days), are: “Prophetic Events and the Feast of Trumpets,” and “Rivers of Living Water.” You’ll be receiving this latest issue very soon!
