September 18, 2020 Brethren Letter

Dear Brethren,

At sunset this evening, we will begin observing God’s Feast of Trumpets. 23 ”Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation” (Leviticus 23:23-24 NKJV).

This specific annual High Sabbath Day pictures an event that will astound all of humanity; for this day pictures the dramatic return of Jesus Christ to this earth to establish the Kingdom of God. “For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be” (Matthew 24:27). Christ’s second coming will not happen secretly or clandestinely. There is no secret rapture! All eyes on earth will see Christ at His return. “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen” (Revelation 1:7).

When looking at prophesy found in the book of Isaiah, God shows us just exactly what will take place shortly after Christ returns. 6 “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7). That is what God has revealed to us.

As we know, there are three other Festivals of God that quickly follow on the “heels” of the Feast of Trumpets. The Day of Atonement pictures the binding of Satan, the Devil (Revelation 20:1-3). The Feast of Tabernacles represents the time just ahead when God’s spirit-born Family will rule together on this earth for 1000 years (verse 6). The Last Great Day (God’s seventh and final annual Festival), points to a time when billions of human beings who have previously lived, will be resurrected and given their first real opportunity to understand God’s way of life (Ezekiel 37). Yes, God’s master plan includes everyone, not just a few!

Please have a good night’s rest!

Your Brother in Christ,

Gary Liebold
