The Lantern of the Scattered Faithful – February 2023

Apparently, there are 500+ corporate churches of God in existence today. One man told me that he had contacted well over 300 of them. Many of these churches openly reject Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong’s office as an apostle and his role as a TYPE of “Elijah” (Malachi 4:5; Matthew 17:11). Other groups take the “smorgasbord” approach to the doctrines taught by God’s end-time apostle. Their thinking is, “We’ll choose these doctrines over here because we agree with them, but these others we’ll reject because we don’t agree.” The reality is these leaders do not have any authority from Christ to decide on their own what doctrines to accept and what doctrines to reject.
